## What It Does

1. **Public Job Board** (`/talent-scout/jobs`) — Aggregates live postings from Greenhouse, Lever, Workable, SmartRecruiters, and Ashby public board APIs. Recruiters can also publish their own postings. No sign-in required to browse, search, or apply.

2. **My Postings** (`/talent-scout/jobs?tab=postings`) — Lets recruiters publish role descriptions to the public board. Guest UUID model — no account needed for posting; sign-in attaches postings to the recruiter's account.

3. **Lead Finder** (`/talent-scout/app/finder` — sign-in required) — Apollo + Hunter-backed prospect search. Pre-fills from "Find people" buttons on any job card. Sign-in gate protects Apollo and Hunter API credits from abuse.

4. **Pipeline** (`/talent-scout/app/pipeline` — sign-in required) — Drag-stage pipeline (sourced → contacted → replied → interviewing → offer → hired/rejected) with CSV export.

5. **Scouts** (`/talent-scout/app/scouts` — sign-in required) — Configurable AI scout agents that learn recruiter preferences from accept/reject feedback on candidate suggestions. Early-access scaffold; full agent loop in active build.

6. **Sources & Inbox** (`/talent-scout/app/{sources,inbox}` — sign-in required) — Source connectors and unified candidate inbox.

## Authentication & Privacy

- **Public**: Job Board, My Postings, Auth — fully indexable, no sign-in
- **Protected**: `/app/*` — Clerk-managed sign-in. Recruiter session id is `clerk-<userId>`, so a user's Lead Finder + Pipeline + Scouts data follow their account across devices.
- **Guest mode**: Visitors can browse jobs and post listings without signing in; a stable browser-scoped UUID is used as the recruiting session key. Sign-in upgrades guest data to the Clerk account.

## Honest Limitations

- The AI scout (accept/reject learning loop, automated outreach) is in active build — the early-access scaffold is functional for board aggregation, posting, and lead finding.
- Lead Finder consumes Apollo and Hunter credits per query — sign-in required to protect shared API quotas.
- Apollo and Hunter must be configured (`APOLLO_API_KEY`, `HUNTER_API_KEY`) for Lead Finder to return enriched contacts. Without them the public job board still works.
